In order to weaken the unity of Asterix's village and dilute local traditions, Caesar decides to build a resort near Gaul. The villagers go to great lengths to sabotage the project—first by magically replanting the forest, then by scaring away the Romans after they move into their new villas, and finally by giving the newly stationed Roman legion a thorough beating.
