"Love Me, Love My Mouse" The 146th theatrical short of the "Tom and Jerry" series, and the 19th episode produced by Chuck Jones. Tom packages Jerry as a gift and goes to the female cat Toots's house to court her. However, Jerry manages to win Toots's sympathy. Not only does Toots prevent Tom from harming Jerry, but she also places Jerry in a cradle to care for him. Seizing the opportunity, Jerry repeatedly frames Tom. Yet, after all, Toots is also a cat... The title is a slight variation of the English idiom "Love me, love my dog," which shares a similar meaning with the Chinese idiom "爱屋及乌" (love the house and its crow), but primarily emphasizes the idea of "if you love me, you must accept everything about me."
