Long ago, the land of Gaul was a dense, tranquil, and peaceful forest. After fierce battles, Emperor Caesar, leading his proud and powerful army, extended the iron hoof of territorial expansion to the island of Great Britain, swiftly conquering all the tribes and territories on the island. However, one village inhabited by Gauls, possessing a special secret weapon, never yielded to Caesar's forces. Upon hearing this news, Emperor Caesar was greatly enraged—how could he, who had always been invincible, lose to a small village? Thus, Caesar personally came to the village and made a pact with the village chief. If the Gauls could complete the twelve tasks he proposed, Rome would admit defeat and hand over sovereignty to the Gauls. If they failed to complete the tasks, all Gauls would become Caesar's slaves. The village chief agreed without hesitation and sent the fishmonger Little Max and Asterix to take on the challenge. Before their departure, the village druid gave the two a magical potion that would grant them limitless strength. The first task was a race against the Olympic long-distance running champion, and the old and skinny Asterix accepted the challenge. His opponent didn't take him seriously at all, racing toward the finish line at the speed of wind. Unexpectedly, due to overconfidence, the opponent accidentally crashed into a tree, allowing the Gauls to win the first challenge without a fight. The second task was javelin throwing, and the third was wrestling, both of which the two Gaulish contestants passed with ease. The subsequent challenges grew increasingly difficult, but Little Max and Asterix, relying on their indomitable spirit and cleverness, successfully completed the first eleven tasks. Upon hearing the news of the Gauls' consecutive victories, Caesar flew into a rage, vowing to show these rustic villagers the might of Rome. His cunning advisor devised a plan: to have all the Gaulish villagers fight to the death in the arena. Watching the Gauls turn on each other, Caesar smugly believed he would finally achieve victory. However, to his surprise, the arena, under the Gauls' manipulation, turned into a circus. Caesar had no choice but to admit defeat. The Gauls successfully completed the tasks and gained sovereignty over the entire country, but they had no interest in politics whatsoever and simply returned to their village to continue their happy lives.
