A filial son, who never goes out to play, strives to catch fish every day to please his father. One day, a pot gets caught in his net, and when he opens it, a demon god emerges. The demon god tries to devour the young fisherman, but the youth says, "There's no way you could fit back into that pot." Annoyed, the demon god squeezes himself back inside. As the demon god pleads to be let out, the young man tells him the story of "The Lion and the Fox." Using cunning wit, the fox managed to take scraps from the lion and even tricked him out of building materials for his home. Enraged, the lion ensured the fox could find no food. In desperation, the fox revealed the lion's whereabouts to a hunter, leading to the lion's death. With the threat gone, the fox ventured out, only to be eaten by a crocodile. Hearing this tale, the repentant demon god gives the young man a pot filled with gold coins as a token of gratitude.
