A gentleman returns home and repeatedly knocks on the door, but no one answers for a long time. He even gets drenched with water by the lady of the house. Furious, the gentleman climbs through the window into the house and throws the woman and her lover out the window. Just then, a policeman passes by and covers the woman with clothes to preserve her modesty, for which the policeman is commended by the mayor. However, the feud between the gentleman and his rival is far from over. Conflicts and tensions continue to unfold... In 1908, Émile Cohl created the animated short film "Fantasmagorie," widely recognized as the first fully animated film, requiring about 700 original drawings for just two minutes. After that, Émile went on to produce works similar in style to "Fantasmagorie," such as "Le Cauchemar du fantoche" and "Un Drame chez les fantoches." Both the script and animation were completed solely by Émile himself.
