On a clear morning, Mickey, dressed in his work clothes, sits among a pile of lumber, studying blueprints. It turns out that his beloved dog Pluto's wooden doghouse has become worn-out and tattered, so he decides to build a new one for him. Pluto is extremely excited, having long grown tired of that rickety old doghouse. Master and pet get straight to work, each busy with their own tasks. Unexpectedly, Mickey accidentally digs up an exquisite golden magic lamp. It seems a genie lives inside the lamp, capable of granting people various wishes. Kind-hearted Mickey has no grand ambitions; he only hopes the genie can help build a brand-new doghouse for Pluto. Without delay, the genie works its magic, and all the materials spring into action.
