This has resulted in overly complex competition schedules across major events, making it difficult for athletes to adapt and stripping the sport of its entertainment value. Additionally, due to the varying expertise of different countries in specific firearms, certain events have consistently been dominated by the same nation, rendering the competitions dull and predictable. In response, the International Committee has decided to consolidate traditional shooting events into a unified format, allowing athletes skilled in any type of firearm to compete against one another. This initiative aims to create a purer and more interactive shooting competition.
