An adaptation of the manga of the same name by Shunji Sonoyama, serialized for over ten years in Weekly Post. It consists of five episodes: Episode 1 "The Day a Man Burns", Episode 2 "Not Suited for a Leisurely Life", Episode 3 "Penny-Pinching Hospitality", Episode 4 "Collective Bargaining, Arise! Section Chiefs of the Nation", and Episode 5 "Flirtatious Mahjong". The screenplay is co-written by Haruya Yamazaki, Tsunehisa Ito, and Noboru Shiroyama, with direction by Minoru Okazaki and Noboru Ishiguro respectively.
