Episode 1: Forced Crossing! The River Acheron (Aired December 17) Shiryu, Hyoga, and Shun, in order to protect the world threatened by Hades, travel from the collapsing Hades Castle to the Underworld where Athena is. Guided by Shiryu's teacher, the Libra Gold Saint Dohko, they awaken the Eighth Sense—the "Alaya Consciousness"—which surpasses the Seventh Sense. They finally succeed in arriving alive in the Underworld. Due to Hades' power, they are separated along the way. Shun reaches the entrance to the Underworld first and encounters Seiya. Eventually, the two arrive at the banks of the Sanzu River (River Acheron) in hell and must cross it on the boat of the ferryman Charon. Naturally, Charon does not intend to let these two intruders pass easily. Episode 2: The Silent Court of Judgment (Aired December 17) After subduing Charon and crossing the River Acheron, Seiya and Shun arrive at the first prison of the Underworld, "Prison." They enter a building called the "Court of Judgment," where their path is blocked by the judge of the Underworld, Balron Lune of the Balron Star. Lune passes judgment on the sins of Seiya and Shun in their current lives, attacking them with his abilities "Reincarnation," which turns the opponent's sins into attacking power, and the "Balron Whip." Just as Seiya and Shun are on the verge of defeat, the sudden appearance of the Gold Saint Gemini Kanon saves them. Kanon swiftly defeats Lune in their place, urging them to leave quickly while he confronts one of the Three Great Judges of the Underworld, Wyvern Rhadamanthys of the Wyvern Star, who has caught up to them. Then, at the moment Kanon and Rhadamanthys throw their punches, Rhadamanthys himself withdraws... Attention is focused on screenwriter Yōsuke Kuroda, known for making drastic changes to the original work. Where he will take the "Underworld Chapter" remains unknown, but it is an undeniable fact that the first two episodes already feature significant plot leaps. Nevertheless, we still look forward to the moment of broadcast!
