Paper Cutting A group of Kuomintang spies landed and were surrounded and annihilated by the People's Liberation Army. Three of the spies disguised themselves as PLA soldiers, attempting to escape through the mountains to the coast. Young Pioneers Xiaohong and her younger brother Xiaolong, who were herding cattle on the mountain, noticed their suspicious behavior and immediately approached, cleverly questioning them in various ways. The spies' stories were full of holes. Xiaohong concluded they were not good people, so she sent Xiaolong to report to the militia while closely tracking them from behind. On their escape route, the spies dismantled a single-plank bridge and employed other tricks. Xiaohong saw through the enemy's schemes and tied her red scarf to a tree branch to mark the spies' direction for the militia. As the spies neared the coast, she suddenly ordered them to surrender while blowing a conch shell to sound the alarm. When the spies attempted to harm Xiaohong, she showed no fear and fought them with stones. At the critical moment, the militia arrived, and the three Kuomintang spies raised their hands in surrender.
