The mountains, lightly veiled in mist, welcome a refreshing morning. As the sun rises, Old Man Sun yawns and releases warm, comforting rays. At that moment, someone greets him. Looking down, Old Man Sun sees it is the little stream, weaving through the woods before the mountains. She joyfully winds through every corner of the valley, greeting the forests and high peaks. While everyone is still savoring the tranquil dreams of the night, the little stream has already set off, flowing downstream and moving forward along her path. Along the way, she encounters a noisy, greedy crow, who tells her there is nothing good ahead and urges her to stop. Naturally, the little stream pays him no mind. Later, she meets rice stalks growing strong and tall, offering them sweet dew, yet she does not linger for even a moment. The adorable little stream nourishes the parched earth and aids society in building a better world, holding only one thought in mind: "Onward, forward!" This film is adapted from Yan Wenjing's "The Song of the Little Stream."
