It turned out that five hundred years ago, the Great Sage Sun Wukong, during his havoc in the Heavenly Palace, had kicked over the alchemical furnace of the Supreme Lord Laozi. The Samadhi True Fire descended from the heavens, creating yet another trial on their pilgrimage. Tang Sanzang was filled with worry, Zhu Bajie was ready to back out at the first sign of trouble, while Sun Wukong planned to borrow the Banana Leaf Fan from the wife of the Bull Demon King to extinguish the great fire. However, due to Sun Wukong's earlier subjugation of the Red Boy, he had already incurred the wrath of his sworn brother and his wife. Princess Iron Fan, fiercely protective of her son, bore a deep hatred for him and, with a single wave of her fan, sent him flying fifty thousand miles away to Little Mount Sumeru. After several rounds of confrontation, Wukong finally managed to borrow the precious fan, only to discover it was a counterfeit.
