The story takes place in a remote mountain village far from the hustle and bustle of the city. On a cool summer night, a creamy yellow full moon hangs high in the sky. In a nearby house, an elderly woman sits on an old rocking chair at her doorstep, holding an orange in her hand. When the orange rolls away, her thoughts drift back to seventy years ago, to a promise that has transcended time and remained unchanged, one she has never forgotten. Back then, the old woman was just a little girl. The orange in her hand was snatched away by a young boy, and after a brief conflict, the girl burst into tears. To comfort her, the boy played a tune on a grass whistle and made funny faces. The two children quickly became good friends. The boy gave the girl a fresh orange, but she wanted the moon in the sky instead. The boy came up with an idea: they planted the orange seed on top of the mountain. Someday, it would grow into a tall, sturdy orange tree, and as the tree grew bigger and bigger, they would be able to stand on it and pick the moon. This was the promise between the children, unchanged for decades...
