The fourth theatrical installment depicting the adventures of Shimajiro and his friends, popular characters from Benesse Corporation's early childhood correspondence education program "Kodomo Challenge." One day, Shimajiro and his friends discover a mysterious picture book by the seaside. It turns out to be the very book Shimajiro cherished when he was little. Suddenly, they hear a voice calling them from somewhere, and they are sucked into the picture book. Inside, Shimajiro and his friends embark on a journey to save the Picture Book Kingdom alongside an adorable creature they meet named "Puni-tan." To ensure even young children experiencing the movie theater for the first time can enjoy it comfortably, the film incorporates interactive elements like singing and dancing along with the characters, keeps the theater from becoming completely dark, and includes an intermission.
