This art film is an ink-wash animation. Although Little Swallow is growing up, she does not yet understand the value of her mother's hard work, often carelessly discarding the insects her mother painstakingly catches. Seeing this, her mother devises a good way to teach her a lesson: she asks Little Swallow to catch insects herself and feed them to her mother in return. The first time, with the help of Aunt Magpie, Little Swallow catches many insects. When her mother mimics her by throwing the insects away, Little Swallow naturally feels no distress. Sensing the issue, her mother earnestly advises her to try again. The second time, Little Swallow begins to forage seriously, firmly refusing any help from Aunt Magpie, even forgetting about the wind and rain raging around her.
