In ancient times, Nuwa, who lived alone in the vast wilderness, crafted countless small figures from clay to ease her loneliness. These figures soon transformed into living women and men, who united, multiplied, and lived happily. Watching her descendants contentedly, Nuwa drifted into a peaceful slumber. Later, the Fire God and the Water God clashed in a fierce dispute, shaking heaven and earth, plunging Nuwa's descendants into dire suffering and filling the air with their agonized cries. Awakened by the screams, Nuwa immediately plucked a green leaf from her waist and cast it into the water, where it transformed into a boat to rescue those drowning. As the battle between the Fire and Water Gods escalated, an even more terrifying event occurred: the sky was cracked open by their collision, and falling debris injured many fleeing people. Witnessing this, Nuwa hurriedly lifted colorful giant stones to fill the gaps in the sky. However, the wind was too fierce; before she could complete her task, the cracks widened. Nuwa then used her own body to mend the heavens. In the places she repaired, faintly glowing constellations began to shimmer.
