As night falls and all sounds hush, six tales that traverse time and space unfold within an ancient and magnificent theater, guiding us into a wondrous realm of dreams. This is a uniquely crafted silhouette animation, where three creators—an old man, a boy, and a girl—gather in an ancient theater. Using their boundless imagination and a magical garment-making machine, they design costumes, craft plots, create characters, and perform the stories themselves, giving birth to a series of distinctive fables titled "Princes et princesses." They bring to life six tales: "The Diamond Princess," "The Fig Boy," "The Witch’s Castle," "The Old Lady’s Coat," "The Cruel Queen and the Fabre Trainer," and "Princes et princesses." The stories are set across different eras—from the Middle Ages to the year 3000, and from ancient Egypt to feudal Japan—both honoring and subverting the traditions of classic fables. This animation was awarded Best Animated Film at the Chicago International Children’s Film Festival.
