Two sisters with hideous faces live on a desolate island, surviving by catching fish and drying them. During one fishing trip, the sisters rescue a dying sailor. The younger sister takes a liking to the sailor and dresses him in her finest clothes. However, when the sailor wakes up and sees the two ugly women, he is terrified and flees. Cursing them, he tears apart the clothes given by the younger sister. Enraged, the younger sister chases him with a wooden mallet, which further terrifies the sailor. In his panic, he runs into the sea. Many days later, the sisters find the sailor's corpse on the beach. The younger sister begs her elder sister to turn the sailor into a "dried human," so he can stay by her side forever...
