On a crisp and clear autumn day, the cheerful Mickey Mouse (voiced by Walt Disney) takes his loyal dog Pluto (voiced by Pinto Colvig) to the countryside for some autumn hunting. Humming a happy little tune, he skips along leisurely, while Pluto, easily distracted, sniffs here and there, dashing about recklessly. Along the way, Mickey spots a flock of birds and takes a shot. Pluto, having strayed from his owner, follows his nose and stumbles upon a tattered scarecrow, which somehow gives him a huge fright. In a panic, he runs off, bumps into Mickey, and tumbles into the water, ending up drenched like a drowned rat. 　　Mickey isn’t angry and plays with Pluto for a little while longer before continuing their adventure. Just then, Mickey seems to spot a moose and raises his gun to shoot, but it appears he may have accidentally wounded his beloved dog...
