At a suburban auto repair shop, Mickey (voiced by Walt Disney), Donald (voiced by Clarence Nash), and Goofy (voiced by Pinto Colvig) are hard at work when an unexpected guest drives into the shop in a luxurious car. He is the notorious villain Pete (voiced by Billy Bletcher), whose car seems to have a problem—it keeps making noises that sound like the tune of "Yankee Doodle." Pete, fierce and menacing, orders Mickey and the others to fix the car within ten minutes, or they will face mortal danger. Trembling with fear, Mickey and his friends manage to send Pete away and frantically begin searching for the car's issue. However, the more flustered they become, the less progress they make. Eventually, the car is completely disassembled into parts, and time continues to tick away... This short marks the final appearance of Pete with a limp; in subsequent works, Pete would have two healthy legs.
