On this day, the Pink Panther gracefully strolls down the hallway when he spots a painter brushing blue paint onto a wall. He secretly takes a taste of the blue paint and finds it quite awful, so he quietly swaps it with a bucket of pink paint placed nearby. Oblivious to the switch, the painter continues working diligently, only to suddenly notice the wall turning pink. Furious, he picks up the bucket to change it back, but the Pink Panther opens a door and slams him against the wall. From then on, the painter and the Pink Panther stubbornly insist on painting every door, wall, and staircase they encounter in their preferred colors. Blue turns to pink, pink turns to blue, and a series of amusing color battles ensues... This film won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film at the 37th Academy Awards.
