Day after day, Shaun the Sheep follows the farmer's instructions, growing tired of such a routine. He plans a day off for himself and the flock. However, their scheme to let the farmer sleep through the day goes awry when the stone securing the old caravan's wheel slips away. The caravan rolls down the path, carrying the sleeping farmer straight into the bustling big city. The sheepdog, Bitzer, chases after the caravan and ends up in the city as well. Shaun and the flock are left behind on the farm. With the owner and the dog gone, farm life descends into chaos. Regretting his actions, Shaun finally decides to lead the flock into the big city to bring back their master and the sheepdog.
