A million Tibetan antelopes embark on a thousand-mile migration, and a young Tibetan antelope named "Nolu" is born in Hoh Xil. On the journey back home, they are pursued by poachers. To save Nolu, his mother falls off a cliff, leaving Nolu alone to wander the wilderness. Nolu encounters the lively Kala and Xida. Along the way, they endure the harsh winter of the plateau, engage in a life-and-death struggle with snow wolves, and escape the pursuit of poachers. By the following summer and autumn, they finally locate the herd of female Tibetan antelopes. Facing the ruthless poachers, Nolu uses his wisdom, kindness, and courage to overcome dangers, resolve grudges, and save a dying young poacher. In the glacial canyon, Nolu leads the large herd to escape a desperate situation. When Nolu and the others finally return to their homeland, an unexpected surprise awaits them.
