In a certain part of France, a tranquil and leisurely atmosphere pervades freely. Inside a roadside café, a well-dressed, arrogant gentleman is leisurely reading a newspaper. During this time, a beggar enters the café to ask for alms. The gentleman shields his face with the newspaper, paying no attention. Instead, an elderly lady at the next table generously offers the beggar a large-denomination banknote. When the gentleman prepares to pay and leave, he discovers he has no money on him. Out of concern for his pride and dignity, the gentleman can only feign composure, ordering one cup of coffee after another, hoping to encounter an acquaintance who might lend a hand. As the coffee cups pile up high and the bill grows longer, the gentleman still cannot think of any solution. Driven to desperation, he decides to take a reckless risk—to steal money from the elderly lady’s bag next to him... This film won the Best Animated Film award at the 2009 Córdoba International Animation Festival in Argentina.
