This art film is a puppet animation that tells an absurd story set in a Western country, which, viewed today, carries certain political metaphors. Blond and Silver are a pair of unfortunate orphans. Though they possess beautiful singing voices, they can only rely on them to beg for a living in the bustling metropolis. One day, as they pour their sympathy into a cat and a dog rejected by humans, a speculator in a high-end restaurant behind them is drawn to a newspaper advertisement offering a high price for rare cats and dogs. Soon after, the cat and dog become the speculator's pets. When a radio station announces a singing competition with a huge cash prize for the winner, a woman who calls herself a "philanthropist" hears the broadcast and, eager to make a fortune, begins searching everywhere for singing prey. Blond and Silver become her lucky finds. Upon learning the same news, the speculator decides to train the cat and dog into a duet. Ironically, at the competition, the judges ignore the audience's overwhelming opposition and insist on awarding the top prize to the cat and dog duo. Later, the speculator effortlessly reaps many unexpected windfalls that fall right into his lap.
