The grandson of Nurarihyon, a quarter-yokai hybrid named Rikuo, leads the Nura Clan. To defeat the Kyoto yokai, Rikuo undergoes training in Tono, where he befriends and gains the assistance of the Tono yokai. The Nura Clan then rushes to Kyoto to aid the Hana no Ie family's onmyoji in re-establishing the barrier. They learn that Hagoromo Gitsune intends to give birth to Nue in order to resurrect Abe no Seimei. Thus, the Nura Clan and the Hana no Ie family join forces to stop Hagoromo Gitsune and take action.
