In the year 3028, Earth's aerospace technology has advanced by leaps and bounds, establishing contact with various intelligent life forms across the universe. However, humanity comes under attack from a pure energy-based species known as the Drej. As Earth faces destruction, Dr. Sam Tucker (voiced by Ron Perlman), in order to preserve the "Titan Project," is forced to entrust his son, Cale (voiced by Alex D. Linz), to his alien friend, Tek (played by Tone Loc). Fifteen years later, Cale has grown up with Tek in a junkyard within the asteroid belt. He is eventually persuaded by his father's former colleague, Captain Joseph Korso (voiced by Bill Pullman), to take up the responsibility for humanity's survival. Using a ring left by his father, Cale helps locate the Titan spacecraft. Meanwhile, he falls in love at first sight with the first officer, Akima (voiced by Drew Barrymore). After enduring countless hardships, the group finally finds the Titan spacecraft. But can they join forces to resist the Drej's attacks and carve out a new world for humanity?
