In the not-too-distant year of 2024, human society faces multiple crises. The Earth's energy resources are dwindling, and the global economy is beginning to collapse. The Trexx Corporation has connected subways into a massive network known as the Metro. In this world where the network has taken physical form, people hide underground, bustling about like worker ants, devoid of desires or aspirations. Rog (voiced by Vincent Gallo) is a telephone receptionist who, compared to others, seems overly reclusive. While everyone else has grown accustomed to life in the subway, Rog alone rides his bicycle to and from work every day, navigating the polluted and dilapidated city streets, isolated and helpless. Until one morning, when Rog's bicycle is vandalized, forcing him to take the subway to work. A wondrous journey begins...
