The protagonist of the story is a wingless bird (a kiwi), with a long beak, brownish feathers, and a pair of small, black bean-like eyes—pitifully adorable and unremarkable in appearance. The most distinctive feature of the kiwi is its lack of wings and tail feathers, which its kind relies on to soar through the sky. This determines that it can only gaze longingly at the sky, a dream forever out of reach. On this day, the kiwi painstakingly uses its long beak to pull a long rubber band, struggling to tie it to a tree. It then jumps below the cliff and, with a hammer it carries, laboriously drives nails into the cloud-shrouded rock wall. After an unknown period of busy work, everything is ready. Our kiwi, wearing a pilot’s helmet, dashes toward the seemingly impossible dream... This film is a graduation project by a student from the School of Visual Arts in the United States.
