After hearing Suneo boast about how moved he was by the starry sky he saw in Hawaii, Nobita and the others feel envious. Having never seen a star-filled sky himself, Nobita becomes frustrated and consults Doraemon. Doraemon then takes out the secret gadget "Indoor Travel Machine," which allows one to experience the feeling of traveling while staying indoors, and projects Hawaii's starry sky inside Nobita's room. Doraemon explains that since ancient times, people have gazed at the starry sky, pondered its mysteries, and created various "models of the universe" in an attempt to understand it. 　To explore the true form of the universe, Nobita and the others enter the "Celestial Globe," which perfectly recreates the real universe using micro-copying technology. They embark on a space journey aboard a spaceship but end up getting too close to a black hole and risk being sucked in! Will Nobita and the others make it safely back to Earth!?
