The series follows the adventures of Fry, a young man from the 20th century, in the 30th century. Phillip Fry is a 25-year-old pizza delivery boy in New York City, whose life consists of running around every day. On December 21, 1999, he is accidentally cryogenically frozen and wakes up 1,000 years later, gaining a chance to start a new life. He finds a job at Planet Express, a company whose main business is providing modern package delivery services to every corner of the universe. His colleagues include the captain of the delivery ship, Leela, a tough but lovable one-eyed alien woman, and a robot named Bender who possesses many human flaws. Fry, Leela, Bender, and sometimes Amy and Zoidberg risk their lives delivering packages across the universe, occasionally engaging in charitable acts for tax deductions. Each episode is filled with hilarious moments, making it an excellent comedic sci-fi animation.
