In the second season, with Shashiroku from the first season gone, Dr. Ho and Monday make their appearance. Dr. Ho, seeking revenge for his late father who was badly treated by a detective named Inaba, appears before Inaba in the mysterious village via a time machine. Believing that for his family line to triumph over Inaba's, he must crush the ancestor's talent during their childhood, Dr. Ho is determined to solve the cases occurring in the mysterious village (which, like in the first season, are often trivial matters) before Inaba can. However, he always ends up failing and has yet to secure a victory.
