On a beautiful sunny day, Shampoo (voiced by Rei Sakuma) as usual suddenly throws herself into Ranma's (voiced by Kappei Yamaguchi) arms, lavishing him with affection, which makes Akane extremely jealous. Back at the ramen shop, Shampoo sees her great-grandmother sorting through jewelry from her youth. Her great-grandmother generously allows Shampoo to pick any jewelry she likes, and a beautiful, mysterious jewel catches her eye. The next day, Shampoo appears before Ranma again, but she shows extreme coldness and disgust, even attacking him violently. It turns out that Shampoo is wearing the Joketsuzoku's secret treasure, the Reversal Jewel, which can turn a person's love into hatred. Ranma, inexplicably despised, cannot accept this and instead launches a love offensive towards Shampoo. A love chase battle thus begins...
