Iron Man assembled with the Avengers to stop an alien invasion in New York City. Sometime after, Tony created an artificial intelligence called Ultron, however the AI went rogue and the Avengers had to decimate Sokovia in order to stop him. When the Sokovia Accords were revealed, Iron Man and Captain America got into a dispute. This eventually led to a skirmish between the Avengers at Leipzig/Halle Airport.
Thaddeus Ross sent Iron Man to stop Otto Octavius from escaping with his illegal weaponry.
