The theatrical anime "ONE PIECE FILM Z" is set in the latter half of the "Grand Line" from Eiichiro Oda's original manga "One Piece." In the "New World," a ship flying a mysterious flag appears near a certain island. Led by the former Navy Admiral Z, the "Neo Navy" aims to steal a precious ore known as the "Dyna Stones," which possess immense energy capable of rivaling ancient weapons. Once Z and his subordinates Ain and Binz successfully obtain the Dyna Stones, their next step is to initiate an ultimate plan that will shake the "New World": "the complete eradication of all pirates." Meanwhile, the Straw Hat Pirates, continuing their voyage across the New World, suddenly discover the wounded Admiral Z floating in the sea, his right arm equipped with a massive weapon. Although wary of the unusual weapon, Luffy and his crew still offer him treatment. However, upon regaining consciousness and realizing the Straw Hats are pirates, Z immediately launches a fierce attack on them.
