Top Cat

In the bustling streets of New York City, the stray cat "Top Cat" Biggley Wiggle and his friends spend their days idling around, living off handouts. Though often threatened by police and vicious dogs, they enjoy a carefree and unrestrained life. Officer Dibble is the only friend Top Cat and his gang have among the police force, and the "cops and robbers" coexist peacefully—until one day, when Top Cat disrupts a concert in an attempt to swindle a ruby from a certain prince, greatly frustrating Officer Dibble. Meanwhile, personnel changes occur at the police station: the former chief steps down, and his adopted son—an ugly, ill-natured man who calls himself "Handsome"—takes over as the new chief. Obsessed with technology, he dismisses all officers except Dibble on his first day, heavily employs robot police, and installs surveillance cameras throughout the city. Top Cat and his gang, who have a history of conflict with him, become his prime targets. Under Lu Handsome's schemes, Top Cat is framed as a notorious criminal...
