The manga "Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas - The Myth of Hades", originally created by Masami Kurumada and illustrated by Shiori Teshirogi, is currently being serialized in the weekly shonen manga magazine "Weekly Shonen Champion" published by Akita Shoten. The first season of the OVA anime aired from June 2009 to April 2010, comprising a total of 13 episodes. Ever since the conclusion of the first season, fans have eagerly anticipated the second season of the OVA. With the manga having reached nearly 200 chapters, while the first season of the OVA only adapted up to around chapter 60 of the manga, such a progress gap has been quite disappointing. Back in mid-October, official sources hinted that information about the second season would be released within the year. Now, as the year draws to a close, it has finally been announced that the second season of the OVA will be released on February 23, 2011! This second season of the OVA, like the first, will conclude with 13 episodes. The episode numbering will continue from the first season, and the titles for the first volume of the second season have been confirmed: Episode 14 "Forest of Death" (the stage where Cancer Manigoldo showcases his abilities) and Episode 15 "If That Day Returns".
