"What kind of justice is this?! Answer me, Hugo!!!" Long ago, colossal beasts as large as mountains lived in this land. Their remains overflowed with "Mana," and people drawn to that mana gathered, giving rise to several nations. In time, people began to revere these beasts, the source of mana, as "Origin Beasts," and came to live alongside them. This was the beginning of Origin Beast worship. And so, time flowed on— War erupted between the Yule Federation, a union of nations founded on Origin Beast worship, and the Gildra Empire, which had achieved rapid development through its own unique technology. From then on, the war only intensified. Leo, a young knight cadet of the Federation, visits the border town of Ryunne—once part of the Empire—on a mission, accompanied by his childhood friend and fellow cadet Celia, and their instructor Lisette. But there, they encounter Hugo—a friend who has betrayed his homeland and become a soldier of the Empire.
