Based on the 1993 tokusatsu series "Denkou Choujin Gridman," "SSSS.GRIDMAN" is a collaboration between Tsuburaya Productions and TRIGGER. Director Akira Amemiya vividly portrays the lives of young people navigating the boundary between the ordinary and extraordinary "now," while also delivering dynamic hero and robot action sequences. This direction earned overwhelming support from a wide audience. The screenplay is by Keiichi Hasegawa, known for his work on the Heisei Ultraman series. The music is composed by Shiro Sagisu of "Shin Evangelion" and "Shin Godzilla" fame. The director for the theatrical compilation is Yoshiyuki Kaneko, who served as assistant director for the TV series. Under Kaneko's direction, the re-edited story offers a new interpretation, and the spectacular action sequences and theatrical sound design are a must-see. Gridman, which amazed anime and tokusatsu fans in 2018, finally arrives on the big screen!
Amidst the sound of cicadas, the ordinary scenery of Tsutsujidai unfolds. This tranquility is shattered by the roar of the monster Ghoulghilas.
