Anime Tenchou (Aniki Sawa Mikoto) was rushing to deliver the completed anime footage to the Animate event venue when he accidentally crossed a boundary that Yukari Yakumo had just finished adjusting.
Due to the effects of the now-unstable barrier, an interstitial world—neither Gensokyo nor the real world—came into being, and Anime Tenchou along with some residents of Gensokyo became trapped within it. Among those trapped was Flandre Scarlet; having been confined to the basement, she was now unleashed and began to rampage.
So, will Anime Tenchou manage to reach the venue safely...?
This short animation (approx. 10 minutes) was produced to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Anime Tenchou's creation and was first screened on November 20, 2010, at the "'Anime Tenchou' Presents!! Animate's Top Recommended Beautiful Girl Anime Festival."
(The preview PV, edited as "Anime Tenchou Passion Version," was first screened on October 9 and 10, 2010, during the anime event "Machi★Asobi vol.4" held in Tokushima City, Tokushima Prefecture.)
From November 23 to December 25, an "Anime Tenchou × Touhou Project" original art exhibition was held at ufotable Cafe (both Tokyo and Tokushima locations). Visitors received a special coaster as a gift.
Following this, a standalone event screening was held at some Animate stores from December 29 to 31, and it was screened at Animate stores nationwide on January 9, 2011. Please note that no DVD or BD was sold (only setting materials were available), making it a screening-limited release.
Furthermore, at Machi★Asobi vol.5, it was screened on a large screen on January 30 as the first part of the one-day limited event "Machi★Asobi Version: Participatory Anime Premium Screening."
Production was handled by ufotable, and some characters were voiced. (However, the voice actors were not listed in the end credits, so it is unknown who performed the roles.)
