The OVA follows high school girl Morita Mayu, a perpetually silent and reticent girl, in her school and daily life. The reason Morita rarely speaks isn't because she dislikes talking or truly has nothing to say, but because she often thinks too much before speaking, constantly missing the right moment to join conversations. It's precisely because of these missed opportunities that she frequently ends up in comical situations.
Morita Mayu isn't actually born quiet; she becomes reticent due to "not having her thoughts organized yet," "poor timing," "being better at listening to others," or "overthinking." Additionally, taught by her mother, she has a habit of staring into people's eyes when they speak, which often leads to misunderstandings.
