The anime adapts the story up to the second part of the original work, with the final battle portion being an original storyline. In this work, Yomi is portrayed as a character who casually discards his subordinates without hesitation. His voice is provided by Akio Otsuka, the son of Chikao Otsuka, who voiced the character in the first TV series.
