Nunavut Animation Lab: Qalupalik

This animated short tells the tale of the Qalupalik, a half-human sea creature dwelling in the depths of the Arctic Ocean, who preys on children that disobey their parents or elders. This becomes the fate of Angutii, a young boy who refuses to help at his family's camp, choosing instead to play by the shore. One day, the Qalupalik seizes him and drags him away. Angutii's father, a great hunter, must then embark on a long journey by kayak to try and bring his son home.
