In ancient Mexico, the Aztecs, the people of the sun who once flourished, passed down a mysterious "Stone Mask." It was a miraculous mask that could grant a person a certain power—the ability to obtain eternal life and become a true ruler. However, from a certain point in time, it vanished from history without a trace. Time flies, and the story arrives in late 19th-century Britain. In an era of intense transformation in people's thoughts and lifestyles, Jonathan Joestar and Dio Brando meet. The two spend their youth and young adulthood together, only to be led down a bizarre and strange fate because of the "Stone Mask." And then, in 1938 America, the story of Joseph Joestar, the grandson of Jonathan Joestar, unfolds as he grows into adulthood. To protect those he holds dear, he engages in endless battles against the awakened superhuman beings, the Pillar Men.
