This black-and-white animation captures the final moments of a prisoner arriving at the execution ground before the weapons are deployed. The darkness before death is preceded by the darkness of a blindfold, which allows only two slivers of light into the world. This is the last time the prisoner will see the tips of his shoes on the pavement.
