Transferring to Nankatsu Elementary School, Tsubasa Ozora is a young boy who loves soccer. There, he befriends friends like Ishizaki and the big sister, and also meets his first rival, Genzo Wakabayashi from Shutetsu Elementary. Children who love soccer gather for the Japan Elementary School Soccer Tournament, and talented young players like Tsubasa Ozora, Genzo Wakabayashi, Jun Misugi, the Tachibana brothers, Ken Wakashimazu, and Kojiro Hyuga successively emerge. From elementary school to middle school, these children continuously compete and hone their skills on the field, pushing each other to improve, gradually becoming the backbone of Japan's new generation of soccer. They participate in the World Youth Championship, travel to Europe, face off against various strong opponents from around the world, and stride confidently toward the World Cup stage... 　　This series is adapted from the manga of the same name by Yoichi Takahashi, encompassing four parts: "Elementary School Arc," "Middle School Arc," "Junior Youth Arc," and "Road to 2002," totaling 52 episodes.
