Despera

Despera is a brand new work created by the production team behind Serial Experiments Lain. The story revolves around the eccentric 12-year-old girl Ain, who possesses the ability to develop various high-tech inventions despite having no formal education in the field. The anime's production was indefinitely postponed in 2011 due to director Ryūtarō Nakamura's health issues. Following the director's passing from illness in 2013, the possibility of this anime ever being released has become extremely slim.
