On May 28th of this year, Hideo Kojima revealed in an interview with Vogue Japan that, in addition to a live-action film, an anime adaptation is also in simultaneous development.
On June 18th, according to Deadline, Death Stranding will be adapted into an anime film, produced by Kojima Productions in collaboration with Line Mileage. Aaron Guzikowski (Raised by Wolves, Prisoners) will serve as the screenwriter. It is reported that the anime will be aimed at adults, with a style similar to that of Predator: The Killing King and the prequel anime of John Wick.
