This film is adapted from the children's story of the same name by Norwegian-born British children's author Roald Dahl. While stealing from a squab farm, Mr. Fox (voiced by George Clooney) and Mrs. Fox (voiced by Meryl Streep) learn that Mrs. Fox is pregnant. Mr. Fox promises they will give up thievery once they escape. Two years later, against the advice of his badger lawyer (voiced by Bill Murray), Mr. Fox insists on purchasing a treehouse located on the land of three farmers who own a chicken farm, a ham business, and an apple cider orchard. Ash (voiced by Jason Schwartzman), the fox son who dreams of becoming an athlete, is filled with jealousy and resentment toward his cousin Kristofferson (voiced by Eric Chase Anderson), who has come to stay with them temporarily. Meanwhile, Mr. Fox can no longer resist his instincts and, together with the treehouse superintendent, the opossum Kylie (voiced by Wallace Wolodarsky), secretly resumes stealing from the three farmers. This eventually leads to a deadly battle between humans and animals...
