The protagonist, Kindaichi Hajime, is the grandson of the famous detective "Kindaichi Kousuke." He is not good at academics or sports, and he's a bit of a pervert. Wherever he goes, a murder seems to occur. However, when he's solving a case, he becomes a completely different person, unraveling one mystery after another. His classic line is: "In the name of my grandfather, Kindaichi Kousuke... I swear the mystery is solved. The culprit is among us." Kindaichi's childhood friend, Nanase Miyuki, is an honors student and student council president at Fudou High School. She is beautiful, has a great figure, excels in her studies, and is incredibly popular. Yet, she has a soft spot for that carefree Kindaichi.
